Injury: Head Trauma, Spinal and Disc Injuries, Long-Term Pain and Impairment
Case Summary: We handled a serious rear-end crash on Interstate 85 that was filed in Coweta County. The impact was so strong that it actually broke the driver’s seat in our client’s vehicle. We moved quickly to file suit, gather the crash report, and collect all medical records and photos to clearly show how severe the collision was. While fault for the crash was relatively clear, the insurance company pushed back on how serious the injuries were, which required us to build a strong case with detailed medical support.
Our client suffered significant injuries, including a large laceration above her right eye that extended down around and below the eye, along with a concussion, head injury, neck and back sprains, and injuries to her chest and pelvis. She also experienced ongoing headaches and issues with her right eye. Her husband, who was also in the car, sustained multiple spinal and soft tissue injuries, including neck and back radiculopathy, a cervical disc rupture, and thoracic spine pain. Both clients required ongoing treatment, and we worked closely with their providers to fully document the extent of their injuries and how they affected their daily lives.
By staying on top of the medical evidence and continuing to push back against the insurance company’s arguments, we were able to resolve both claims without going to trial. The case moved efficiently through the court process in Coweta County, and we secured a $200,000.00 settlement for our client and $70,000.00 for her husband. These results reflect the seriousness of the crash and the importance of building a clear, well-supported case from the beginning.
