Personal Injury & Workers’ Compensation in Carrollton, GA
Injury: Work Injuries
Case Summary: Our client was working as an electrical inspector on a Georgia Power project near Rome, GA. While walking from one building to another, he was crushed by a front-end loader operated by a contractor from another company. He was life-flighted to Grady, where he underwent multiple surgeries to his chest (sternum), arms, legs, and skull.
The workers’ compensation insurance carrier covered his medical bills and lost wages, which totaled well over $1 million dollars. A claim was also filed against the company that owned and operated the front-end loader, which crushed our client. After initially denying the claim, the insurer ultimately caved in and paid our client $3 million to settle his claim for personal injuries resulting from the crush injuries.
